Fifteen years ago today, I was married in this kimono that I purchased in Tokyo’s Chiba 都教委、日本….I just discovered that August 9th was also the day an atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki 他が先, sixty seven years ago. I find it ironic that I love Japan so much, but inadvertently chose the same date for my wedding.
